ROTHMAN'S MEN'S CLOTHING

The ESPN anchors are always well-dressed. They are almost always dressed in clothes from Rothman's. A few years ago, ESPN executives decided that they wanted their on-air personalities to have better wardrobes. They wanted them to dress in a way that was hip and fashionable, but still reflected the irreverent style of the network. They hired noted television stylist, Ariel Lawrence, to oversee the effort. Ariel then turned to Rothman's to jump-start the program. She came up with the idea to create a temporary mini-store on the Bristol, CT campus of ESPN. One tractor trailer full of clothes later, the mini-Rothman's store emerged above the cafeteria at the network. For three days, Ariel and Rothman's personnel met individually with over 50 of the on-air personalities, a pretty good assignment for the Rothman's staff, which tends to be a bit sports crazy.

Now it is quite common to see the ESPN talent at the Union Square store. Ms. Lawrence uses Rothman's exclusively for ESPN work, as she appreciates the combination of a knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices, and unparalleled selection. So next time you are in the Union Square store, and you see a guy who looks like a familiar face from TV, it probably is. Say hello, they are very friendly.
